Philosophy.

Why Video Analysis is Important:

Video is one of the most powerful tools a player can use to grow in their development. On-ice skill is important, but without a strong understanding of the game, those hard-earned skills can go to waste. Our goal is to make the game easier by helping players recognize and reinforce the details that don't require talent - but awareness and understanding.

Building a Solid Foundation:

Every shift or game begins with a general to
specific process. Every player, at every level, needs the foundation: positioning, work ethic, and basic habits. These are the things that will help you last in this game when things aren't working - sometimes, they might be the only thing that will carry you through. This is where our analysis will always begin.

From there, we help players identify and develop their "edge" based on their abilities, goals, and where they're at in their career/hockey journey. These are the small details that separate them from the competition. That might mean holding the puck a second longer to make a play, having the confidence to move the puck through the middle of the ice, and yes, even taking the puck end to end. Sometimes it takes some extra guidance to help players learn when and how to use these tools in order to unlock their full potential.

Safety + Respect:

Finally, we emphasize safety and awareness on the ice. Hockey is a physical game, and it should be played that way. However, if we see a client putting themselves or others in harms way with a play that isn't a part of the game, we will call it out. Learning how to protect yourself - and respect others - is a skill as well and it can be taught.
